Holistic Healing

CMSE (Continued Medico-Spiritual Education) 2015 is a festival of wellness in mind, body and spirit, which will take place on 21st and 22nd February, 2015 for the first time in Goa at the Xavier Centre of Historical Research, Porvorim. It will be hosted by The World United - Doctors' & Healers' Association (TWUDHA) and aims at showcasing a visionary mix of holistic health, spirituality, soulful music and sacred dance for the integrated healing of mind, body and spirit. Some of the sessions include cinema therapy, freedom from addiction and natural child birthing. The festival will also have health food stalls, book launches and the sale of natural and recycled products, organic supplies and spiritual accessories. The festival is open to the public as an effort to reach out to the common man.

TWUDHA (www.theworldunited.org/twudha) works towards enlightening people about the effects of one’s thoughts, emotions and belief systems on one’s wellbeing and how the same can be related to cures as well. TWUDHA encourages physicians to use a holistic approach while treating patients and guides them therein to use age old and new methods of healing to enhance the results of modern medicine.

The World United (www.theworldunited.org) is an organisation that was founded in India. It brings together scientists, philosophers, educators, etc. to harness the best of intelligence to transform society the world over, creating an environment of peace and harmony. Dr Yugandhar G R is the president of The World United. He is trained as a general surgeon but has been a pioneer in transformational medicine and has a spiritual vision he strives to propagate.

The historic first World Parliament on Spirituality, which attracted luminaries, thought leaders, scientists, educators, doctors, healers, entrepreneurs and environmentalists to a strength of over 3000 people from over 50 countries, was the brainchild of The World United. It resulted in the formulation of 14 wings, of which one is the Doctors' & Healers' Association. It is the most active wing, partly due to the efforts of Darryl D'Souza, who is one of its founding members.

Darryl has surmounted health problems of his own after much struggle and now dedicates his life to aiding others in doing the same. His work on health and healing has spread over 50 countries, especially through his book Become Healthy or Extinct, which has changed lives and encouraged a healthy lifestyle (www.becomehealthyorextinct.com).

Darryl D'Souza's guidance has helped the Doctors' & Healers' Association wing in Goa to formulate over 15 programmes of disease reversal which incorporate the best of natural, holistic, modern, alternative and ancient healing practices. They started their service to society in Goa two years ago by doing free workshops in North Goa. Their workshops teach the common man how to cure a host of chronic illnesses like arthritis, obesity, diabetes, cholesterol, heart disease, uric acid, high blood pressure and many more, without any medicines, but by natural practices.
